I love me some Peanut Butter, but it is super high in calories! Peanut Butter contains good fat and good protein (in moderation), but I love it so much that I I end up abusing the good fat/good protein rule; however, I just found something really amazing: PB2! It is Powdered Peanut Butter....sounds kind of gross I know, but it is actually really good. You just mix 2 tbsp PB2 with 1 tbsp water and mix till creamy. I have been using it for a week and I really like it. It is all natural. The ingredients are: peanuts, sugar, salt--No hydro-something, no gluten-something. And here is the really great part: 2tbsp is 53.2 calories; 3.4 carbs; 1.66 sugars; 5.65 protein.
•PB2 is made with premium quality peanuts that are slow-roasted to our specifications and pressed to remove the fat.
•All natural with no artificial sweeteners or preservatives.
•Same consistency as full-fat peanut butter with all of the roasted peanut flavor, but with more than 85% less fat calories.
Normal peanut butter is around 190 calories for 2tbsp. PB2! PB2! PB2!.
They also have a chocolate PB2. I have not tried this one, but when I do I will let you all know what I think.
You can buy this online at: http://www.bellplantation.com/ You can also do a search for where to buy it in your area on the website. If you are near Denton, TX check out Vitamins Plus 101 inside Drug Emporium on University Dr. They have both PB2 and Chocolate PB2 along with so many other all natural foods.
Okay hurry and get your's! You're going to love this stuff!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Candace

Shake, Shake, Shake!
So every morning I wake up and head straight for the blender to make my Shakeology. I have been drinking Shakeology for 3 months and I swear by this stuff. Well today I I didn't have my shake because Tim made me breakfast. I had tons of errands to run and then school so I completely forgot to have my shake---until about 3pm! I was sitting in class and I just got exhausted. I was tired, hungry, irritable and then I realized...I hadn't had my shake. I could actually feel my body screaming out for the good stuff. My body was craving and needing vegetables and fruits!
People, I love this stuff so much I am actually on home direct! I don't ever want to run out. I don't ever want to wake up in the morning and find I only have half a scoop left. I might have a little panic attack if that happened.
I wish I could buy this for all of my friends and family because I know this would change their lives.
Oh and for those of you on Mona Vie, check this out:
I know this is a bit hard to read so if you would like more information just go to shakeology.muscleandwealth.com If you would like more information just contact me.
Well I have to get to bed--I need my 8 hours!

Party
I am getting so excited for our first ever Beachbody Party. Actually this is the first time Tim and I have ever hosted anything at our house so I am excited, but also a bit nervous. I like things to be "as perfect as possible" so I know I am stressing over things no one else will even notice. I mean seriously, will anyone care if the finger food plates have a cute design on them?? Probably not. I am trying everyday to give up a little bit of my control freak and just roll with the punches.
Back to the party--I hope we have a great turnout. I think that is the most nerveracking part--what if no one shows?!? Gotta keep chanting: I can only control myself and my actions. I cannot control anyone else and their actions.
If any of you are in the DFW area and would like to come to our party this Saturday at 6pm, just comment on this post and I will give you directions to our house.
One more thing, Tim and I are reading The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. It is amazing. I highly reccomend this book to anyone who has drive, ambition, and a big dream. This book is changing my perspective every day. I will succeed in all that I do. I will shut off the negative voice, and turn up the postive voice.
**Don't forget to give the gift of health this holiday season. Shop http://www.muscleandwealth.com/ We will be running a special soon for the holidays. Stay tuned for all the details.

What Women Do Wrong--Amy Barnes
Listen up ladies--Amy Barnes speaks the truth!!
"What Women Do Wrong"
Amy Barnes
(Amy Barnes went from almost 400 pounds to 130 pounds)
Women have it all wrong when it comes to weight loss. The average woman when she joins a gym looks at how many treadmills there are and the aerobics schedule to see if there are classes that fit in her schedule. When women want to lose weight they torture themselves with repetitive movement for hours on end spinning their wheels or running to nowhere like a hamster in a wheel! If you take a look at all of the women walking on the treadmills you’ll notice none of them have the body most women want. The problem is that most personal trainers haven’t figured it out yet either. They get a female client who hires them to change their body and they think, “Oh man…another one of those stupid toning programs in the ladies only section with the pink dumbbells doing lots of reps…” Most trainers don’t realize that they need to challenge women to get their bodies to change and to stop being afraid of pushing her to gain muscle to boost her metabolism to change the way her body looks, permanently.
The weight loss program an average woman does:
1. Endless hours of cardio or aerobics classes
2. Avoids strength training because she doesn’t want to get “big and bulky” or maybe she uses some rinky-dink pink dumbbells to “tone”
3. Cuts back her diet to practically starve herself
4. Focuses on the scale weight and the number she wants it to say
What works about this plan: NOTHING! What is wrong with this plan: EVERYTHING!
She will lose weight but it will be a mixture of muscle, water and maybe some fat so she’ll end up looking like a smaller version of her same self, but in the process she will have dropped her metabolism so there will be no way she can keep the weight off and will gain it back guaranteed. This is the cycle most women have been through many times throughout their lifetime. Yet, when they want to lose weight they do the same thing again. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result.
The weight loss program the average Women SHOULD do:
1. Metabolically demanding full body strength training that includes lifting challenging weights.
This should be their priority workout 2-4 days a week.
2. Boost their intensity and drop the duration on their cardio sessions performing interval style workouts for no more than 30 minutes at a time.
3. Fuel their body with healthy food every 2-3 hours getting their metabolism revving.
4. Focus on how her clothes fit and how she looks and feels and not on a number on the scale.
5. Focus on Fat Loss, not Weight Loss.
What works about this plan: It will boost her metabolism, it will change her body, it will make her feel confident about herself, she can eat and she will be able to maintain her new body!
What is wrong with this plan: NOTHING!
To really change their bodies permanently, women need to start checking out the strength training floor. They need to get out of their comfort zone and push the bodies beyond what it is used to. No more walking to nowhere on the treadmill! I am not talking about bodybuilding routines where you split up each body part and bomb and blitz the pecs or pump up the biceps. It is not necessary for a woman to isolate any muscle group to get the defined look she wants. Instead a woman should do a full body, metabolically demanding program in which she alternates between an upper body compound movement such as a push up or chin up with a lower body compound movement such as a squat or lunge. Keep the rest periods short and use a weight that is challenging. Use 3-4 pairs of exercises, working out for no more than an hour at a time. The woman with toned arms and defined legs looks that way because she has the very thing most women are terrified of, muscle. They are so afraid to lift weights in fear of bulking up that they never get their bodies to look the way they want them to. They have it deeply seeded in their subconscious that as soon as they touch anything over 10 pounds, they will sprout humongous muscles! Even if they do use weights, they probably still aren’t lifting heavy enough and pushing themselves hard enough to get the look they want. Most women don’t know what their bodies are capable of and tend to not push themselves hard enough. There was actually a research study done on this where they showed that women when left to train on their own, lifted loads below what they were capable of. Maybe it is because women have been conditioned their whole lives to exercise from the point of view of what we “can’t” do, rather than what we "can" do. Women grew up doing “girl” push ups, because we were told we “can’t” do actual push ups, or hanging from the bar instead of doing a chin up because girls “can’t” do chin ups. The first woman to run the marathon had to sneak in dressed as a man because women “can’t” run a marathon, and that was only in the 70’s, not that long ago. Women “can’t” lift too heavy, they will hurt themselves. We still subconsciously hold ourselves back when it comes to training whether we realize it or not. We need to start training from the standpoint of- What CAN you do? How much CAN you lift? How strong CAN you get? And stop letting “can’t” enter our vocabulary. As women start to push themselves in the gym, lifting weights and building lean muscle tissue, their metabolisms will be revving and they will be the toned, defined body they have always wanted.
So how do you get your body to change? You have to lift enough weight to build muscle, enough weight to increase your metabolism. You have to fuel your body with healthy food and turn your body into a fat burning machine. Stop pounding your body with hours of cardio and stop starving yourself!

A little pick me up

So I was reading Chalene Johnson's blog earlier and her latest entry really spoke to me. It's called, YOU'RE NOT MOST PEOPLE'S CUP OF TEA. Ha I love it. Here's the link so you can read her blog: www.turbokick.com/wblog/?p=583
Subscribe to her blog--she always has great words of wisdom.
Anyway, she said two things that really just made sense.
Subscribe to her blog--she always has great words of wisdom.
Anyway, she said two things that really just made sense.
1. Get very good at being exactly who you are.
2. Boldly be you, the real you, even at the risk that many may not care for "your type".
I know so many people (women especially) who are who they think they SHOULD be. They go out of their way to be who they think others want them to be. This seems like so much work. I mean, what happens if you get your personalities mixed up?
I used to want to be a people pleaser. I wanted everyone to like me, but I realized that when I was pleasing others, I wasn't pleasing myself. I wasn't true to myself.
So like Chalene said, you will not always be everyone's cup of tea...and that is okay! It makes the friendships you have mean so much more because they are based on truth and honesty and love. You know that your friends know the real you--and they still love you...and all your craziness!

Yummy!
Okay last night Tim and I had our 45 calorie toast with one egg/one egg white on top and....turkey pepperoni! I was a bit skeptical about the pepperoni, but it was really good. I actually like it better because it was less greasy than regular pepperoni. And the big clincher is that a serving is 17 slices and is 70 calories!! Go get these!!
Also, the low sugar ketchup is excellent! Tastes just like real ketchup but better nutritional value.
Off to Cardio Core for an amazing workout!

My first blog!
I am starting this blog because I constantly have little fitness tips running through my head--I want to share them with everyone, but I don't want to send out a million emails. So in this blog I will let you know of low calorie food options. I will give tips on how to use proper form while working out. I will advise you on how to run a successful business.
This blog will be a little bit of everything. If I see a good deal or a good product, or if I find a way to make your life easier, I will post it! I am here to do all the heavy lifting so you can focus more on your friends, family and whatever else gets you up in the morning.
Tip #1
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray
This stuff tastes just like butter--seriously! But unlike butter, it has 0 calories, 0 carbs, 0! 0! 0! It's a no thinking food--you just do it!
Tip #2 Sara Lee 45 calorie 100% Whole Wheat Bread
That's right people, 1 piece of bread is only 45 calories! That is a huge savings! Most bread is 70+ calories a slice. Now you can eat that sandwich without guilt. And it tastes good. Tim and I tried another brands 40 calorie bread and it was eh. So skip trying anything else...take my advice and go and get your Sara Lee bread!
Okay and more thing for now-- Heinz Ketchup has just come out with a Reduced Sugar Ketchup. It has 5 calories per tablespoon and 1 sugar! Regular ketchup has 15 calories and 4 sugars. These calories can add up so quickly because you don't think about them when you are dipping your french fries or when you are adding them to your favorite sandwich or burger. Tim and I just bought this yesterday so we have not tried it yet. I am hoping it is delicious because I love ketchup and a healthier option would be fabulous. I will let all of you know as soon as we open it.
Well I hope this has inspired you a bit today.
